In partnership with Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA), FCA hosted its Annual Supplier Matchmaker Event last September 7. The event provided diverse supplier businesses access to FCA Tier 1 suppliers, as well as an opportunity to network with FCA buyers. The event also encouraged all participants to meet and have a meaningful conversation with different exhibitors and provided educational seminars to support business growth and business development. The virtual event connected more than 150 organizations with over 600 companies looking for a supplier diversity partner and 100 FCA buyers across commodity groups.

Rebecca West, John Hopper, Cecille Egurube, and Brian Cartagena took the helm in introducing TeamSpan Global Solutions to the suppliers and buyers present at the event. As an organization that is no stranger to incorporating technology in its day-to-day operations, navigating its way through the virtual event proved to be second nature for the team. Using Pheedloop – the event’s virtual platform of choice – the team met with other small and minority-owned firms and made a business pitch to automakers and their suppliers.

Fiat Chrysler hosts the MatchMaker event every year to help minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses to break through that barrier and have the opportunity for supplier diversity groups to meet with procurement decisionmakers and promote supplier diversity excellence. As a certified diversity supplier, events like the FCA Matchmaker are a worthy platform for TeamSpan Global Solutions to champion diverse solutions and its proud position as a woman-owned small business.
